BALTAZAR BUDAPEST BOUTIQUE HOTEL
1014 Budapest 31. Országház StreetLocation
While many visitors to Budapest spend most of their time exploring lively Pest, Buda isn’t without its own happening hotspots.
In fact, cross the Chain Bridge and you’ll find some of the city’s best restaurants amid the elegant streets surrounding Buda Castle.
Originally completed in the 13th century, the Buda Palace was rebuilt by the Habsburgs. Matthias Church traces its roots to the 11th century, it beckons with a roof of colorful Zsolnay-tiles. Fisherman’s Bastion, a sprawling neo-gothic and neo-romanesque terrace that flaunts storybook turrets, is beside the church.
Buda is home to buzzing restaurant scene. Hungarian restaurants featuring modern local cuisine, elegant fine bistros and Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant – the district is full of amazing places to dine.
Take a taxi from the city center and it takes only 10 minutes to reach the Castle Hill. Should you choose public transport, bus 16 takes you up there within 15minutes. If you prefer the old romantic way, take a breathtaking walk through the Chain bridge, or a romantic ride by the funicular.
“We stayed for 3 nights at the Baltazár Boutique Hotel in the Castle district of Budapest and we couldn't have been more pleased. Our room was wonderful, beautiful décor, and would imagine you would be beautifully warm and cosy there in the winter months. We had lunch at the Baltazar Grill when we arrived, very enjoyable, and breakfast each morning. Staff were welcoming and friendly. We will definitely go back.”
“Where to even start? The location of this hotel is amazing! It's in the Buda Castle area on a quiet dead-end street and is just perfect! If you can stay in the area, it's just so perfect! The hotel is close to restaurants and they were all so good! The decor is so fashionable and fits perfectly with what you would think a boutique hotel would look like. The room was the best that we stayed in by far out of the 4 cities that we went to in Europe on our trip. It was huge! A king-size bed, which was super comfortable, a couch, closet space, a safe, a fridge, a desk, and a chair. The room and the bathroom were very clean and modern, the renovations done here…”
“I had the feeling of not be one of thousand anonymous guests like it is often the case in bigger hotels. There was a personal relationship with the employees. They were all very friendly and attentive. The room was perfect with a unique style & I slept very well, which is really uncommon for me in hotels. The kitchen is, in my opinion, one of the best in Budapest.”
“My wife and I stayed for four faultless nights as part of our week in Hungary. The room was really comfortable and well equipped. The service from all the staff was friendly & helpful. The hotel was in a picturesque location. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Budapest.”
“What a lovely place to stay. Pest-Buda hotel is two minutes walk from the amazing Fisherman's Bastion, the best viewpoint of Budapest by night. The hotel is very well-designed, quiet and private. Good quality throughout. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive but unobtrusive. We had the perfect break here.”
“This was the perfect boutique hotel for a romantic weekend. The decor, standard of cleanliness and location are second to none. The staff were welcoming and showed us to our room, explaining how everything worked. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the shower amazing. The small number of rooms means you are not disturbed by noise from other guests. We really can’t recommend it highly enough.”
“Beautifully designed hotel with super nice staff is situated on top of Buda old city. It is super clean and beds are amazingly comfortable plus you can eat fantastic local dishes at the restaurant. They also keep L'Occitane cosmetics which is nice touch.”
“My wife and I have been amazed at the quality of the room, food, and service Pest-Buda Hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Everything we asked for (food to the room, print train tickets, storage of luggage, etc.) was handled with a smile. We will definitely be back!”
“It’s the best apartment I ever stayed at! It was very clean and beautiful. It was located next to the Fisherman’s Bastion.”
“Location, location, location plus a modern comfortable and spacious living space.”
