Live piano music was part of the concept at Pierrot from the very beginning, the grand piano was in the first room when it opened, covered with a tablecloth.
Soon after the opening of Pierrot, Aladár Albert played piano in the evenings, and was succeeded by János Orosz, a very famous pianist who even played with Elvis Presley in Los Angeles.
During the summer time, when Janika - as Ilona and her husband called him - went on holidays, one of the best known musicians of our time, Károly Nyári, stepped in, but he worked in Switzerland and only came home for the summer holidays, so after a while they needed a permanent musician.
When János Orosz reached the age where he could no longer play the piano every night at Pierrot, József Sárközi or Müvcsi as we call him joined the team.
Our dear Müvcsi is still with us today, for 27 years now…
