It was Péter Zsidai's idea to open a Hungarian restaurant in order not to compete with Pierrot. Not "Hungarian", but a bistro with the flavours of Hungarian bourgeois cuisine.
TovábbPest-Buda Restaurant was taken over by the Zsidai Group in 2010 when the previous tenant cancelled the lease of the restaurant, which had fallen into disrepair.
The renovation was not easy due to the historic character of the building.
Roy was studying and working in the USA in 2006, when he came across an article about the renovation of the historic Gozsdu Courtyard in downtown Pest and the creation of an entertainment district.
TovábbEmile saw the solution in bringing in an external partner with a background in gastronomy and convinced the Kempinski's top management. Back in December 2012, he approached Roy to sit down and talk.
Tovább“I have always loved to create and here the task was serious and very rewarding: to build a world that didn't exist, to create something new - and thinking together with Roy was a great help.”

TovábbThe principle within the group is that we only open a new place if we can create something exciting, original and niche in the area and if we can shape and develop the environment with it. This was no different in the spring of 2014, when Spíler Shanghai opened.
TovábbGood coffee requires two things: a good coffee blend and a good machine to brew it in.
TovábbOn 16 September 2015, the Opera Café, the Feszty Bar, the bars of the Erkel Theatre and all the artists' buffets in the Opera House and Erkel opened.
Tovább"The two companies are naturally linked. It's a really natural fit - as we say in the UK." (Jamie Oliver)
TovábbThree of Jamie's managers arrived in Budapest in autumn 2015 to check out the locations, among other things. We had to decide between the bustling city centre and Buda Castle.
TovábbThis is where the Pest-Buda Restaurant & Hotel is located today... The history of the house dates back nearly 800 years.
TovábbWe loved Jamie Oliver's Italian Wien restaurant, with its wonderful art deco and Viennese café-inspired interiors, it was the most elegant Jamie's restaurant in the world.
TovábbThis was the first European pizzeria for Jamie's and while it is true that they had a couple of restaurants in India, they were different in concept, design and offerings.
TovábbEarly September 2017... Sandy beach, palm trees, 30 degrees, sunshine, the sound of the sea, total tranquillity and the unmistakable "mañana" atmosphere*....
